The Topan Pendant Light was the legendary Verner Panton’s first mass-produced design. Over fifty years old, it remains cutting edge and youthful. First designed for the Astoria restaurant in Norway in 1960, its cool simplicity leaves a lasting and memorable impression. Try three of them clustered over a dining table. They produce a warming light that can be used with a dimmer or energy saving bulb (but not, of course, both). The Topan is available in a variety of colours – yellow, white, orange, red, turquoise, black and green. Nordic design house &Tradition have a policy of using both yesterday’s master designers and today’s up and coming rebels. In this way they can guarantee that their designs have a timeless international appeal. This is certainly true of the Topan, which oozes as much style and avante garde charisma now as it did during the heady years of flower power. Dimensions: Diameter: 21 cm. Height: 19 cm.
